Truck Driver

About the role

Davidson Contract Services is seeking a reliable truck driver to join its long‑haul fleet. You will operate a tractor‑trailer on cross‑border routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods while minimizing fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and other navigation tools to optimize fuel efficiency.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections of tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage units and other equipment.
• Oversee vehicle condition, conduct routine maintenance checks, and report any issues.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining accurate logs.
• Prepare and manage required documentation such as accident reports, bills of lading, inspection reports and trans‑border paperwork.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation.
• 1–2 years of long‑haul trucking experience.
• Valid AZ class driver’s licence and passport.
• Willingness to travel cross‑border, overnight and for extended periods.
• Clear criminal, driving and drug‑test records.

Required skills

• GPS navigation and other navigation equipment operation.
• Computer equipment usage for route planning and reporting.
• Documentation handling (accident reports, bill of lading, inspection reports, maintenance reports, trans‑border paperwork).
