Trust Tax Manager or Corporate Tax Manager

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing firm of accountants, is seeking a Trust Tax Manager or Corporate Tax Manager to join their Cheltenham office. The role offers the chance to lead high‑value tax advisory work for owner‑managed and family‑run businesses, with occasional travel to other offices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level tax advisory and planning for trusts, estates, and corporate clients.
• Oversee the preparation and review of trust, estate, corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Stay up‑to‑date with tax legislation and communicate relevant changes to the firm and clients.
• Lead trust and estate tax services, advising on structuring, inheritance tax planning, wealth preservation and related strategies.
• Advise on corporate tax matters including M&A, share option schemes, EIS/SEIS, remuneration planning, family investment companies and international tax issues.
• Develop relationships with solicitors, wealth managers and other professional partners to grow the practice.

Required profile

• Professional tax qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA.
• Strong technical knowledge of trust, estate and corporate tax legislation.
• Experience delivering tax advisory services to owner‑managed or family businesses.
• Ability to lead a service line and build client relationships.
