Tuition Centre Manager – Hornchurch & Upminster

About the role

We are seeking an experienced education professional to manage and grow our tuition centres in Hornchurch and Upminster. This full‑time position allows you to stay in education while moving away from the traditional classroom, focusing on evening and weekend tuition services.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for day‑to‑day management and performance of existing tuition centres.
• Conduct educational assessments and design personalised learning plans.
• Monitor student progress and adapt programmes as needed.
• Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular feedback.
• Handle enquiries, convert prospects into enrolments and drive centre growth.
• Recruit, train and manage a small team of teaching assistants and centre staff.
• Coordinate class schedules and staff rotas.
• Develop relationships with local schools and community organisations.
• Liaise with head‑office teams (marketing, administration, finance, HR) to ensure operational excellence.

Required profile

• Previous experience in the education or tutoring sector, preferably within a tuition or learning centre.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant teaching experience is desirable.
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with parents, staff and external partners.
