UK Business Development Manager – Laboratory Equipment

About the role

This senior commercial position is responsible for driving growth of laboratory and processing equipment sourcing across the United Kingdom. You will manage a large territory, build long‑term partnerships and deliver solution‑based selling to organisations in life sciences, pharma, biotech and healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a UK sourcing strategy for laboratory and processing equipment aligned with global objectives.
• Identify organisations with surplus or idle equipment across research, industrial and manufacturing sectors.
• Present a value proposition that converts unused assets into cash or trade‑in credit while supporting sustainability goals.
• Negotiate purchases and manage the full sourcing cycle, including pricing, logistics and post‑sale support.
• Build and maintain relationships with decision‑makers to secure repeat business and long‑term partnerships.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity, providing insights and reports to inform strategy.
• Collaborate with operations, finance and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
• Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to expand the network and reinforce brand presence.

Required profile

• Commercially driven business development professional with experience in solution‑based sales.
• Proven success in B2B sales and managing large territories.
• Ability to work autonomously, travel regularly and deliver measurable commercial results.
