UK Finance Manager / Head of Finance – FMCG

About the role

The UK Finance Manager / Head of Finance will report to the Regional Finance Director and lead all financial accounting, reporting and FP&A activities for the UK legal entity of a leading international FMCG business. The role also supports strategic planning and ensures statutory and corporate compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and approve monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting packages for the UK entity.
• Liaise with the US parent finance team on reporting, tax and transfer‑pricing matters.
• Maintain group tax and insurance records and supervise HMRC company tax return lodgement with PWC UK.
• Perform cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital management and inventory‑turnover monitoring.
• Coordinate monthly operating results analysis, variance reporting and budget reviews for Group Management.
• Align financial forecasts with Supply Chain and Demand Planning, and manage the budget input process in Oracle EPM.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities, particularly in promotional (TAP) and advertising (CAP) spend.
• Prepare standard product cost of goods in collaboration with supply‑chain and US finance teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial accounting, reporting and FP&A within a UK environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK tax compliance, statutory reporting and transfer‑pricing principles.
• Experience managing cash‑flow, working capital and budgeting processes.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders including finance, supply chain and commercial teams.
