About the role

This temporary full‑time position supports a primary school in Liverpool by providing dedicated assistance to pupils with additional learning, behavioural and communication needs. The role is focused on creating consistent, structured support to help children engage with the curriculum and build confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support within the classroom.
• Assist pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management and classroom engagement.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt learning activities and deliver personalised support.
• Support speech, language and communication development.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction.
• Help pupils access the primary curriculum through differentiated support.
• Maintain a calm, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils, staff and families.
