Upper KS2 Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Upper KS2 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Hillingdon. The successful candidate will teach Year 5 or Year 6, prepare pupils for SATs and support their transition to secondary education, with the option to take on subject‑leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Upper KS2 lessons aligned to the national curriculum.
• Prepare students for SATs and monitor their progress through effective assessment and feedback.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community.
• Contribute to whole‑school improvement and, if desired, lead a subject area (English, Maths or Science) with additional TLR support.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Upper KS2.
• Strong curriculum knowledge, especially in core subjects.
• Excellent classroom management and pastoral care skills.
• Willingness to take on subject‑leadership duties.

Required skills

• Curriculum knowledge of English, Maths and Science.
• Ability to design and deliver differentiated lessons.
• Effective assessment and feedback techniques.
