Urban Driver Apprentice – 7.5t Licence

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Urban Driver Apprentice to join DX Network Services. Over a 15‑month programme you will train to become a professional 7.5‑ton (Category C1) driver while gaining valuable experience in logistics, warehousing and office support.

Key responsibilities

• Represent DX professionally at all times.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, report defects and complete paperwork.
• Load deliveries safely, scan products using DX equipment and ensure timely, premium deliveries.
• Follow DX policies, use appropriate PPE and report on‑road issues to the traffic office.
• Assist with office tasks, driver‑mate duties and warehousing during training.
• Obtain CPC licence as required for LGV vehicles.

Required profile

• Willingness to complete a 15‑month apprenticeship and obtain a Category C1 licence.
• Ability to work safely, follow legal and company regulations.
• Good communication skills for dealing with customers and team members.
• Commitment to punctuality and reliability.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of vehicle safety checks.
• Familiarity with scanning equipment and basic IT usage.
• Understanding of health & safety and PPE usage.
