Urban Driver Apprentice – 7.5t Vehicle

About the role

DX Network Services is offering a 15‑month Urban Driver Apprenticeship that will train you to become a professional 7.5‑tonne (Category C1) driver. You will gain the necessary licences and hands‑on experience while working towards a permanent driver position.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Load and unload deliveries safely, ensuring correct scanning of parcels.
• Drive routes safely and legally, meeting premium and timed delivery targets.
• Complete non‑driving duties such as office tasks, driver‑mate support and warehousing activities.
• Report on‑road or delivery issues to the traffic office promptly.
• Interact with customers professionally, ensuring deliveries arrive in excellent condition.

Required profile

• Willingness to undertake a full‑time 15‑month apprenticeship.
• Eligibility to obtain a Category C1 (7.5t) licence and CPC certification.
• Ability to follow DX policies, health‑and‑safety procedures and use personal protective equipment.

Required skills

• Category C1 (7.5t) licence (to be obtained).
• CPC licence (to be obtained).
