Urgent Care Practitioner – Locum in Cornwall

About the role

Vivid Healthcare is seeking experienced Urgent Care Practitioners (Band 6) and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (Band 8) for a full‑time locum position in a busy Minor Injuries Unit on the Cornwall coast. The role offers immediate start dates, summer block bookings and the chance to work in a scenic coastal setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients with minor injuries and illnesses.
• Respond appropriately to emergency presentations within the unit.
• Collaborate with another experienced practitioner to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and follow local protocols.

Required profile

• Registered healthcare professional with current UK registration.
• Band 6: Minor Injuries & Minor Illness Management qualification/module, OR Band 8: Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification with urgent‑care experience.
• Recent experience in Minor Injuries, Urgent Treatment Centre or Emergency Care settings.
• Ability to work autonomously in assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
• Right to work in the UK.
