US Tax Accountant – London

About the role

We are seeking a motivated US Tax Accountant to join a well‑established Chartered Accountancy firm in London. The role offers a clear progression pathway, with the possibility of permanent, fixed‑term or contract employment and hybrid working after probation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of US‑connected clients, handling compliance, advisory and planning work.
• Prepare and review US personal tax returns and ensure timely filing.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing proactive tax advice.
• Support senior managers and partners with technical tax matters.
• Assist junior team members through training and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with the wider tax team to deliver high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + year experience in US or International Tax.
• Qualified or working towards a recognised qualification (EA, ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA).
• Residency within a one‑hour commute to the London office.
• Strong analytical mindset and client‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• US personal tax compliance and return preparation.
