User Researcher – Digital Services

About the role

Join a leading digital consultancy’s UX and Design practice to shape user‑centred digital products and services for a diverse client portfolio. As a User Researcher you will own the end‑to‑end research process, delivering insights that drive high‑impact digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, recruit and conduct user research activities across multiple projects and industries.
• Lead research programmes from recruitment through facilitation, analysis, reporting and stakeholder playback.
• Collaborate closely with designers, developers, product owners and service managers to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Embed user‑centred design principles throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience working as a User Researcher.
• Experience planning, conducting and analysing research for digital products and services.
• Strong knowledge of Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and methodologies.
• Experience working within Agile Scrum delivery teams.
• Ability to advocate for users and champion user‑centred design across stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including presenting findings.
• Portfolio demonstrating research deliverables (personas, journeys, testing, etc.) is highly desirable.
