US/UK PCT Tax Director

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global professional services firm to appoint a Director for their Private Client / Cross‑Border Tax team. This role is part of a growth strategy, offering immediate exposure to a high‑quality client base and a clear route to partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a complex private‑client portfolio and act as the senior point of contact.
• Lead high‑value advisory projects, ensuring technical excellence and commercial relevance.
• Drive business development through personal networks and internal collaboration.
• Mentor and support team members, contributing to people development and team strategy.
• Manage commercial aspects of the portfolio, including fees, utilisation and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with other service lines to deliver holistic client solutions.

Required profile

• Current or recent experience at Director level in private client or personal tax.
• Strong background in US and/or UK cross‑border tax matters.
• Experience advising non‑domiciled, high‑net‑worth individuals, family offices, private equity and hedge fund principals.
• Proven track record of building long‑term client relationships and winning new work.
• Ability to lead, influence and develop teams with a commercial mindset.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of private client / personal tax regulations in the US and UK.
• Expertise in residence/domicile planning, wealth structuring and succession planning.
