US/UK Tax Manager - Trusts

About the role

We are seeking a US/UK Tax Manager to join a top‑10 accountancy and advisory firm’s Trust & Family Wealth team. The role combines compliance work with technically demanding advisory for high‑net‑worth clients with US‑connected trusts and estates, and offers a balanced split between advisory and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of US‑connected trusts and estate clients, including large estates (£200m+).
• Deliver compliance filings and provide complex advisory across US and UK tax regimes.
• Advise on cross‑border trust structures, treaty interaction and inheritance tax planning.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership on high‑value engagements.
• Support and develop junior team members.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships in a referral‑led environment.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the specialist team.

Required profile

• Significant experience in US and UK trust and estate taxation.
• Exposure to US‑connected trusts, cross‑border issues and treaty interaction.
• Background in a Big 4, Top 10/20 or specialist private client boutique.
• Strong client‑management skills and ability to handle technical complexity.
• Open to strong Assistant Managers ready to step up, Managers or senior‑level hires.
