Van Technician

About the role

Our client, a reputable fleet maintenance company in Wickford, Essex, is looking for a Van Technician to join their team. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing a high volume of light commercial vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on light commercial vans such as Vivaro, Sprinter, Crafters and utility vehicles.
• Diagnose and fix brake, clutch, timing belt, suspension and turbocharger issues.
• Carry out warranty work and assist with gearbox repairs when required.
• Manage a workload of over 20 vehicles per day, adhering to deadlines.
• Follow company procedures to ensure vehicle safety, quality and compliance.
• Record diagnostic findings and repair actions accurately.

Required profile

• Proven experience with light commercial vehicle maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and repair abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Attention to detail and good time‑management skills.
