Van Technician – Light Commercial Vehicles

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Van Technician to maintain and repair a fleet of light commercial vehicles for a reputable vehicle rental company in the North West. The role offers a supportive environment, modern facilities and clear progression routes for motivated automotive professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and repairs on light commercial vehicles in line with manufacturer and company standards.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform corrective work to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Ensure all vehicles meet safety and compliance requirements before returning to service.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used and time spent.
• Support the workshop team to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Level 3 Vehicle Technician or Level 2 Technician with at least 3 years’ experience.
• Proven experience repairing and diagnosing light commercial vehicles.
• Strong fault‑finding and mechanical aptitude.
• Full UK manual driving licence and no unspent convictions.
• Commitment to high standards of safety and quality.
