Vehicle / Machinery Breakdown Coordinator

About the role

The Vehicle / Machinery Breakdown Coordinator is responsible for managing breakdown incidents of vehicles and plant equipment, ensuring rapid response to minimise downtime. This role acts as the central hub between drivers, workshop teams, operational staff and external repair providers.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of vehicle and plant breakdown incidents and coordinate swift resolution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, workshop teams, operational colleagues and external repair providers.
• Arrange recovery, repair works or replacement vehicles while adhering to company and safety standards.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of breakdowns, repairs and follow‑up actions.

Required profile

• Previous experience coordinating vehicle or machine equipment breakdowns or similar.
• Experience in fleet coordination, logistics, transport planning or plant operations is desirable.
• Excellent communication and strong organisational abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Immediate availability for a temporary to permanent role.
• Ability to commute to the Harefield area and hold a valid driver’s licence.
