Vehicle Maintenance Technician

About the role

Calor Gas Limited is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join its on‑site workshop in Fawley, supporting a large fleet of HGVs that keep homes and businesses warm across the UK. The role is full‑time, with rotating day and back‑shift patterns and occasional on‑call weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on LPG‑powered HGVs.
• Ensure fleet safety and reliability in line with company standards.
• Support drivers by diagnosing faults and providing timely repairs.
• Participate in overtime and Saturday shifts as required.
• Take part in a 1‑in‑4‑weeks on‑call rota with additional compensation.

Required profile

• Willingness to work rotating day (06:00‑15:00) and back‑shift (14:30‑23:30) patterns.
• Ability to undertake overtime and weekend work.
• Commitment to a full‑time permanent contract.
• Strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Required skills

• LPG handling and maintenance.
• IRTEC certification.
• Valid HGV licence.
