Vehicle Service Technician

About the role

Halfords is seeking a qualified Vehicle Service Technician to join its Runcorn garage. You will perform interim, full and major vehicle services, as well as follow‑up repairs and component replacements, ensuring customers receive safe and reliable motoring solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major vehicle services.
• Diagnose and repair brakes, suspension, steering, transmission and tyre issues.
• Perform air‑conditioning servicing and other component replacements.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings to customers.
• Uphold health, safety and quality standards in the workshop.

Required profile

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 penalty points.
• Proven experience delivering vehicle services and related repairs.
