Vehicle Site Technician

About the role

Join a thriving independent automotive group as a Vehicle Site Technician, working from a busy retail sales site in Wimbledon. You will ensure that all stock vehicles meet the highest standards before they reach customers, performing health checks, minor repairs and final inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive health checks on used‑car stock.
• Perform pre‑sale inspections and quality checks.
• Conduct routine servicing and maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and rectify minor mechanical faults.
• Replace wear‑and‑tear components such as brakes, batteries and suspension parts.
• Prepare vehicles to meet retail presentation standards.
• Execute final inspections and last‑minute checks prior to customer collection.
• Liaise with the sales team to confirm vehicle readiness for handover.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle, Service or Prep Technician.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Positive, proactive attitude with good organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
