Vehicle Technician – Automotive Maintenance & Repair

About the role

Our client, a well‑known dealership in Wokingham, is expanding its workshop and needs a skilled Vehicle Technician. You will join a busy team delivering high‑quality service, diagnostics and repairs for cars and light trucks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks and tyre rotations.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and service manuals.
• Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other components.
• Test the functionality of parts and systems after repair.
• Provide clear explanations of repairs to customers and deliver excellent service.
• Maintain a clean, organised workshop and pursue additional certifications as required.

Required profile

• NVQ/City & Guilds (or equivalent) to Level 3 standard.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Associate degree or equivalent training in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Professional appearance and strong customer‑service attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and undertake further training.
