Vehicle Technician – Automotive Service Role

About the role
We are expanding our Chery dealership in Bristol and need a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday 8 am‑5 pm with occasional Saturday rota work, offering a competitive salary and bonus potential.
Key responsibilities
- Perform servicing, repair and diagnostics on all vehicle types, ensuring first‑time quality.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air‑conditioning.
- Diagnose and maintain EV and hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs and control systems.
- Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment as required.
- Complete service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
- Collaborate with workshop colleagues to share knowledge and continuously improve.
Required profile
- Experience in the automotive sector as a technician, mechanic, HGV mechanic, auto electrician, MOT tester or similar.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or working towards it.
- Qualification or training in electric and hybrid vehicle technology is desirable.
- Commitment to high customer‑satisfaction standards.
