Vehicle Technician – Basingstoke Workshop

About the role

Silcom Recruitment is supporting a well‑established main dealer in Basingstoke that is expanding its workshop team. The company is looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to deliver high‑quality servicing, maintenance and repairs across a range of light vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Perform servicing, routine maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose faults and carry out comprehensive vehicle health checks to identify further work.
• Complete all tasks efficiently, to a high standard, and record work accurately.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a dealership or independent garage is advantageous.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair; NVQ Level 2 acceptable for service‑technician roles.
• Valid UK driving licence.

What we offer

• Salary up to £35,000 basic with OTE potential of £45,000+ (uncapped).
• Full‑time hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:30 pm – no weekends.
