Vehicle Technician – Bus Maintenance

About the role

Join a dedicated engineering team responsible for keeping a fleet of over 500 buses road‑worthy across Lancashire and Yorkshire. As a Vehicle Technician you will ensure reliable journeys for thousands of passengers each day.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults.
• Carry out routine servicing and 28‑day inspections.
• Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance work.
• Support MOT preparation in line with DVSA standards.
• Maintain high standards of safety and workmanship at all times.

Required profile

• Pride in workmanship and a passion for problem‑solving.
• A Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent City & Guilds) qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Experience on buses or coaches (desirable but not essential).
• PCV licence or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Vehicle fault diagnosis.
• Routine servicing of commercial vehicles.
• Conducting 28‑day vehicle inspections.
• Mechanical repair of bus systems.
• MOT preparation and compliance.
