Vehicle Technician – Chorley

About the role

Clock Garage is a family‑run business in Chorley looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician. You will work on a wide variety of makes and models, delivering repairs, diagnostics and servicing while focusing on repair rather than replacement.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repairs on customer and sales vehicles
• Perform vehicle inspections, health checks and fault identification
• Conduct road tests for diagnostics and quality assurance
• Communicate findings and obtain authorisation for additional work
• Collaborate with the service team and provide clear updates to customers

Required profile

• Qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude
• Passion for the motor trade and commitment to continuous development

Required skills

• Vehicle diagnostics using modern equipment
• Engine rebuilds and major component repairs
• Electrical system troubleshooting

What we offer

• Salary £30,000 – £40,000 per year, dependent on experience
• Monday‑to‑Friday, 08:30 – 17:15 (no weekends)
