Vehicle Technician – Full‑time – Winchester

About the role

Our client, a leading main dealer group, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their Winchester workshop. You will work in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment using state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic tools and will benefit from ongoing training and development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of manufacturer brands.
• Diagnose faults and generate reports using advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer test plans.
• Follow workshop manuals and technical procedures precisely for every repair.
• Complete electronic technical write‑ups to support warranty claims.
• Liaise with manufacturer technical support for issue reporting and warranty approvals.
• Document faults with integrated camera systems and communicate warranty information to customers.

Required profile

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) with hands‑on workshop experience.
• Proven experience in a main dealer or franchised workshop environment.
• MOT tester qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong IT confidence, comfortable using online systems and diagnostic software.
• Proactive attitude towards learning and career development.

Required skills

• Operation of state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic equipment.
• Use of manufacturer‑generated test plans and integrated camera systems.
• Competence with online diagnostic software and IT tools.

What we offer

• Permanent, full‑time role with a Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑5:30 pm schedule.
