Vehicle Technician – Hertfordshire

About the role

We are partnering with a respected independent automotive retailer serving Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The business operates a modern workshop that services a wide range of premium and mainstream vehicles, offering a stable, full‑time permanent position for a skilled Vehicle Technician.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks.
• Carry out pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs) and ensure vehicles are ready for customer hand‑over.
• Replace components such as cambelts, clutches, brakes, steering and suspension parts.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and execute effective repairs.
• Maintain accurate job records and documentation in line with manufacturer standards.
• Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues about work progress and outcomes.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a comparable automotive role.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
