Vehicle Technician – Hybrid & Complex Faults

About the role

Our client, a busy main dealership in Chester, is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician. The role offers manufacturer‑backed training and a clear progression path towards Master Technician, with a focus on hybrid technology.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex vehicle faults.
• Provide technical expertise and support to workshop colleagues.
• Carry out complex repairs and work closely with the Workshop Controller.
• Utilise diagnostic equipment on hybrid and conventional vehicles.

Required profile

• Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a main dealer or independent workshop.
• Strong background in diagnostic repair and methodical problem‑solving.
• MOT licence preferred but not essential.

Required skills

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) certification.
• Proficiency with vehicle diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of hybrid vehicle technology.
• Experience with MOT testing (preferred).

What we offer

• Full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday, 40‑hour week.
• £45,000 base salary plus bonus, OTE around £48,000.
