Vehicle Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our engineering team at one of our depots in Lancashire or Yorkshire. You will play a vital part in keeping our bus fleet safe, reliable and ready for the thousands of daily passenger journeys across the North of England.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults on buses and coaches.
• Carry out routine servicing, 28‑day inspections and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform vehicle repairs and support MOT preparation in line with DVSA standards.
• Maintain high standards of safety and workmanship throughout all tasks.

Required profile

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds qualification.
• Full driving licence (PCV licence preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Experience on buses or coaches is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Vehicle fault diagnosis.
• Routine servicing and inspections.
• Vehicle repair techniques.
• MOT preparation and compliance.
