Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester

About the role

Halfords is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join its Taunton garage. You will deliver high‑quality MOT testing and a broad range of vehicle maintenance and repair services, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair tasks, from routine services to advanced diagnostics.
• Maintain Halfords’ quality and safety standards on every job.
• Communicate clearly with customers about work performed and recommendations.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent experience.
• Valid MOT testing licence.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 penalty points.
• Commitment to safety and high‑quality workmanship.
