Vehicle Technician – Service, Repair & MOT Centre

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a growing independent used‑car business that has recently added a Service, Repair & MOT centre. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will help deliver high‑quality maintenance and repair services to both customers and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests on all makes using modern equipment.
• Carry out routine servicing and complex mechanical repairs.
• Conduct MOT examinations, brake inspections and safety checks to statutory standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure vehicle safety.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or mechanic.
• Relevant qualification – NVQ Level 3 (NVQ Level 2 may be considered).
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday with no weekend duties.
