Vendor Account Manager – Fixed Term Contract

About the role

This 12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract role is based in Cowley (hybrid) and focuses on delivering on‑time‑in‑full (OTIF) performance for our customers. You will manage delivery schedules, ensure strict compliance with supply commitments and work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to minimise costs while maintaining operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain delivery schedules using Unipart’s in‑house systems (ULS, URS, RWS) to meet business requirements.
• Develop and sustain constructive relationships with key supplier contacts and internal/external partners, providing clear visibility on status.
• Collaborate with Operations to resolve inbound/outbound and quality issues, and work with Finance to clear invoice discrepancies.
• Provide timely status updates and issue resolutions to the client and the Customer Services team.
• Produce detailed reporting on parts or suppliers with constraints and communicate updates to the Supplier Manager for client calls.
• Prioritise varied workloads proactively to ensure deliveries meet agreed schedules.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial negotiations and cost management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to resolve discrepancies and operational issues.
• Excellent planning, organising and time‑management skills for handling fast‑moving, complex workloads.
• Effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, suppliers and external partners.
• Customer‑centric communication style with a focus on quality and meeting targets.
• Proactive team player who embraces change, supports continuous improvement and works well under pressure.
