Vet Surgeon – No OOH, 20‑minute consults

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly regarded independent practice in Bromley, London. The position provides 20‑minute consultations, modern facilities, and a strong focus on work‑life balance with no out‑of‑hours or night work and only occasional Saturday mornings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 20‑minute veterinary consultations, delivering high‑quality patient care.
• Perform surgical procedures across a range of species, including small animals and exotics where applicable.
• Utilise diagnostic imaging (ultrasound, radiography) and in‑house laboratory equipment to support case management.
• Provide dental care using the practice’s full dental suite and dental X‑ray.
• Collaborate with a team of seven Vet Surgeons, RVNs, student nurses and care assistants.
• Limit referrals by managing cases in‑house wherever possible.

Required profile

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a current UK licence to practice.
• Proven experience in both consults and surgery.
• Commitment to a patient‑first approach and high standards of animal welfare.
• Willingness to work a four‑day week (full‑time) or part‑time, with one Saturday morning per month.
• Interest or certification in exotic animal care is desirable but not essential.
