Veterinary Receptionist

About the role

Join the team at Blenheim Veterinary Centre, a small‑animal practice located in the picturesque market town of Ashbourne. As a part‑time Veterinary Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for pet owners, ensuring every interaction is welcoming, professional and compassionate.

Key responsibilities

• Greet clients and visitors, answer phone calls and respond to enquiries.
• Manage the appointment system and coordinate daily schedules for clinicians.
• Handle client communications, including reminders and follow‑up messages.
• Support the smooth operation of the practice by liaising with clinical and non‑clinical staff.
• Provide administrative assistance such as filing, data entry and maintaining patient records.

• Friendly, organised and customer‑focused individual.
• Excellent communication skills with a professional, welcoming manner.
• Experience in a customer‑facing role with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.
