Veterinary Surgeon – Harlow, Essex

About the role
Our client is a thriving independent small‑animal practice in Harlow seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon. You will join a friendly, supportive team and manage a varied caseload while performing routine surgeries and occasional sole‑charge duties.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine surgical procedures, including neutering, in two fully equipped operating theatres.
- Conduct consultations and provide high‑quality patient care across dog and cat wards.
- Participate in a shared on‑call rota with one night of inpatient‑only duty.
- Work a weekend rota (1 in 4 Saturdays, 1 in 8 Sundays) with time‑off in lieu.
- Collaborate with a team of eight veterinary surgeons, eleven registered nurses, and support staff.
Required profile
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years post‑qualification experience.
- Confidence in routine surgeries and consultations.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment while working independently when required.
- Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for animal welfare.

What we offer
- Competitive salary £45,000–£65,000 depending on experience.
