Vice President – EMEA E‑Trading Applications Support

About the role

Citi is seeking a Vice President to join the EMEA Production Support team in London, providing front‑office support for equities electronic trading applications. The role sits on the trading floor and works closely with traders, developers, product owners and system analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and business support for Citi trading applications.
• Collaborate with Low Touch DMA/DSA desks to ensure operational resilience and a high‑quality client experience.
• Manage, maintain and support applications and their Unix‑based operating environments.
• Perform start‑of‑day checks and continuous monitoring using ITRS/Geneos.
• Develop and maintain technical support documentation and contingency plans.
• Partner with development and production teams to prioritize bug fixes and tooling enhancements.
• Act as liaison between traders, internal technology groups and external vendors.
• Participate in application releases from development through testing to production deployment.
• Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate appropriately.
• Automate tasks through scripting and develop supporting tools.

Required profile

• Experience in a Front Office Application Support role.
• Experience supporting applications hosted in a Unix environment.
• Familiarity with the equities market trade lifecycle.
• Strong problem‑management, issue‑tracking and ITIL knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
