About the role
PJT Partners is seeking a Vice President to join its Restructuring and Special Situations Group. The role focuses on advising large corporations, governments, and creditor groups through financially distressed situations, delivering strategic advice on recapitalizations, reorganizations, and distressed M&A.
Key responsibilities
- Lead origination and execution of restructuring transactions across the firm’s platform.
- Interact regularly with senior clients, investors, and stakeholders to develop and present detailed business plans.
- Design and implement restructuring strategies, evaluating financial returns for current and potential investors.
- Manage complex, time‑sensitive transactions from start to finish, including negotiations, due‑diligence, and contract drafting.
- Participate in internal and external meetings, negotiation sessions, and strategy workshops.
Required profile
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate finance, specifically in restructuring, leveraged finance, or acquisitions.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multi‑party negotiations with boards, management, lenders, and equity holders.
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of delivering high‑quality advisory services.
