Visual Arts & Performance Technician (Full‑time or Part‑time)

About the role

Long Road Sixth Form College is looking for two Visual Arts & Performance Technicians to join its vibrant department. One position is full‑time (37 hours per week) and the other part‑time (25.5 hours per week), both term‑time only and based on the college campus in Cambridge.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the Visual Arts & Performance department, focusing on art and photography activities.
• Maintain, set up and troubleshoot art and photography equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including COSHH and CLEAPPS.
• Work flexible hours, including weekly twilight periods, to meet departmental needs.
• Collaborate closely with fellow technicians and teaching staff.

Required profile

• Experience or strong interest in supporting visual arts and photography programmes.
• Knowledge of COSHH and CLEAPPS legislation is desirable.
• Flexible approach to working hours and ability to work twilight shifts.
• Good team‑working and communication skills.
