Vocational Teacher – Woodwork, Art, Computing

About the role

Reeson Education is partnering with a specialist SEN school in West Drayton to hire a passionate Vocational Teacher. You will deliver hands‑on lessons that help pupils in a PX provision develop practical skills, confidence and clear pathways to future employment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging vocational lessons in woodwork, art, beauty, computing or coding.
• Support students with SEMH and additional learning needs, adapting content to varied abilities.
• Promote confidence, independence and practical life‑skills through structured activities.
• Maintain a safe, consistent learning environment and encourage positive behaviour.
• Collaborate closely with SEN staff, pastoral teams and other teachers.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching a vocational subject such as woodwork, art, beauty, computing or coding.
• Experience working with SEN, SEMH or PX/PRU students is desirable.
• Patient, resilient and engaging teaching style with strong behaviour‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and a genuine passion for helping students build practical skills.
