VOD Image Manager

About the role

The VOD Image Manager will lead the creation and delivery of high‑quality visual assets for UKTV’s on‑demand platforms, including the U streaming service and partner apps such as Amazon Fire, Apple TV and Freely. Working closely with the Head of Digital Curation and cross‑functional teams, you will shape the digital imagery strategy to boost content discovery and viewing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of VOD image designers, setting clear direction and performance standards.
• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of high‑volume VOD imagery across multiple platforms, ensuring quality, consistency and timeliness.
• Act as the central point of contact for operations, product, creative, communications and external partners.
• Collaborate with curation and editorial teams to align imagery with content strategy and audience engagement goals.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability and workflow consistency.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a creative, broadcast or digital production environment.
• Strong management capability with a track record of motivating teams in high‑pressure settings.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience managing editorial relationships with VOD platforms and TV partners.
• Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and deliver high volumes of creative output at scale.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
• Strong understanding of digital image specifications, formats and platform requirements.
• Experience with digital asset management systems and workflow automation tools.
