Void Surveyor – Fixed‑Term Contract (2 years)

About the role

We are seeking a Void Surveyor on a two‑year fixed‑term contract to manage void works for a social housing provider in Buckinghamshire. The role involves overseeing inspections, specifications, delivery and quality checks to ensure vacant properties are ready for re‑occupation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of vacant properties and assess repair, maintenance, or compliance requirements.
• Produce detailed scopes of work and raise orders within approved budgets.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
• Monitor projects through site visits and quality assurance checks.
• Verify properties meet re‑letting standards and are ready for occupation on schedule.
• Coordinate safety and compliance obligations, including certifications and statutory inspections.
• Identify environmental or structural issues and arrange remedial actions.
• Investigate tenant damage cases and support cost recovery.
• Manage defects after occupation, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain comprehensive property records, inspection reports and system updates.
• Contribute to performance monitoring with updates on turnaround times and contractor performance.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification such as HNC or ONC, or equivalent experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in property inspection, void management or a similar field.
• Ability to work within budgets and financial procedures.
