VP – Direct Lending / Single Name Lending

About the role

Citi is seeking a Vice President to join its Single Name Lending business within the Spread Products team in London. The role sits in Citi's global Markets division, delivering private credit solutions to institutional clients. You will work on origination, structuring and execution of single‑name private credit transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, underwrite, and monitor single‑name private credit deals.
• Structure and draft term sheets for new transactions.
• Manage transaction documentation and negotiate terms with counterparties.
• Conduct financial analysis, due diligence and projection modelling.
• Collaborate with Private Markets Coverage, ICM, Banking and Risk partners.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead transactions and manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong corporate finance background with corporate credit analysis experience.
• Deep understanding of fixed‑income products, including loans and bonds.
• Proficiency in market analysis and risk‑management techniques.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferably experienced at a similar level in leveraged finance, direct lending or infrastructure debt on the buy‑side or sell‑side.
