VP Full Stack Java Engineer – Investment Bank

About the role

A leading global financial institution is expanding its engineering team and is looking for multiple VP‑level Full Stack Java Engineers to design and deliver secure, scalable financial technology solutions. You will work on Java services, APIs and batch‑processing applications while also contributing to modern Angular front‑ends.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend micro‑services, REST APIs and batch applications using Java 17/21, Spring and Maven.
• Contribute to frontend development with Angular and TypeScript, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Own the full development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Build automated tests and CI/CD pipelines using JUnit/Spock, GitLab CI/CD and Docker.
• Improve application security, performance, scalability and resilience.
• Collaborate closely with product, design and operations teams.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Java 17/21, Spring framework and Maven.
• Hands‑on knowledge of micro‑services architecture and RESTful API design.
• Proven ability to deliver applications across the full product lifecycle.
• Experience with modern frontend technologies such as Angular and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk and AppDynamics and cloud deployment concepts.
