Waking Night Mental Health Support Worker (Tewkesbury)

About the role
This position offers the chance to join a newly formed team at a brand‑new accommodation site in Tewkesbury, supporting individuals with complex mental health needs during waking night hours. You will provide person‑centred care, promote independence and help residents achieve their personal goals.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver emotional and practical support to residents during waking night shifts.
- Monitor wellbeing, respond calmly to incidents, and ensure safety.
- Assist with night‑time routines and personal care when required.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with day‑staff for seamless continuity of care.
- Promote recovery‑focused and independence‑enhancing approaches.
Required profile
- Enthusiasm for working in mental health and supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Excellent communication skills with a calm, patient approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in mental health or social care is desirable.
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
