Waking Night Support Worker (Part‑time)

About the role

Join Consensus as a Waking Night Support Worker at Blakeney House, providing 19 hours of night‑time care each week. You will help residents with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs enjoy a vibrant, active lifestyle while ensuring their safety and wellbeing during the night.

Key responsibilities

• Support residents in community outings, leisure and social activities during night shifts.
• Encourage participation in swimming, walking, mini‑golf and other recreational programmes.
• Facilitate music therapy, sensory activities and mental‑fitness sessions.
• Assist residents with communication needs, ensuring they can interact effectively with staff and visitors.
• Celebrate special occasions and support residents in daily routines throughout the night.

Required profile

• Passionate about caring for people with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs.
• Willing to work rotational night shifts (19 hours per week).
• Open to new entrants to care or those with prior experience as a Mental Health Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant.
• Ability to complete a free DBS check and undergo induction training.
