Warehouse Assistant – Full-time (Burgess Hill)

About the role

We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our collaborative team in Burgess Hill. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, handling goods from receipt to dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Unload deliveries, inspect for damage and store goods correctly.
• Pick items from stock and pack orders for shipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform stock checks.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, to move goods.
• Keep the warehouse safe and tidy, following all safety protocols.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, secure goods for transport, and generate shipping labels.
• Assist with additional tasks such as stocking shelves, sorting items, and supporting inventory counts.

Required profile

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential.
• Valid forklift licence (essential).
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Physical capability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic computer proficiency for order processing and inventory management.
