Warehouse & Despatch Operative

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and organised Warehouse & Despatch Operative to join our client’s busy warehouse team in Heston. You will be responsible for preparing and dispatching daily orders, handling incoming goods and maintaining accurate stock control in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Pick, pack and prepare orders for delivery and courier dispatch.
• Load vehicles safely and ensure timely departures.
• Support delivery schedule and route planning.
• Receive, check and book in deliveries against purchase orders.
• Monitor stock levels, replenish pick locations and manage returns.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse.
• Complete delivery paperwork and keep accurate records.
• Provide occasional delivery driver cover when required.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Flexible, hands‑on approach with attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset.
• Awareness of health and safety practices.

Required skills

• Full, clean UK driving licence for a 3.5 t vehicle (not essential).
• Forklift driving experience (not essential).
• Previous warehouse and stock‑management experience.
• Basic IT skills.

What we offer

• £28,000 per year salary.
• Full‑time permanent role, Monday‑Friday 07:00‑15:30.
• No weekend or bank‑holiday work.
