Warehouse Driver / Forklift Operator

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Driver and Forklift Operator to support critical logistics within a highly regulated aviation environment. The role involves moving materials safely, operating company vehicles and forklifts, and ensuring compliance with strict safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate vans and forklift trucks safely to transport materials on‑site and to off‑site locations.
• Load, unload, handle and move goods in line with operational and compliance requirements.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Support warehouse activities such as packing, documentation checks and stock handling.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment, including vigilance against Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
• Adhere to all company quality, safety and security procedures.
• Assist managers and team leaders with additional operational tasks as required.
• Identify and report process issues or improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence with a clean record.
• Proven experience in driving, transport, warehouse, logistics or supply‑chain environments.
• Experience operating material‑handling equipment, particularly forklifts.
• Strong awareness of health, safety and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work rotating shift patterns, including nights.

What we offer

• 4‑month contract with a pay rate of £16.45 per hour (PAYE) or £22.00 per hour (Umbrella).
• Shift pattern: 5 days on, 4 days off with 12‑hour rotating days and nights (7 am‑7 pm / 7 pm‑7 am), averaging 40.5 hours per week.
• BPSS+ security clearance provided by Airbus Security.
