Warehouse Housekeeper

About the role

Join the cleaning team at The Sofa Delivery Company and keep our warehouse spotless, safe, and compliant with health‑and‑safety standards. This entry‑level position offers full training, so no prior experience is required.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a tidy, obstruction‑free warehouse environment.
• Collect and dispose of waste in the appropriate recycling bins or skips.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors using colour‑coded mops and buckets.
• Deep‑clean toilet facilities, including floors, tiles, sinks, toilets, doors, handles, vents, and hand dryers; replenish toilet rolls and hand soap.
• Wipe doors, handles, and internal glass surfaces.
• Maintain, clean, or replace cleaning equipment as needed.
• Update the Safety Data Sheet (COSHH) folder and keep the equipment cupboard organized.
• Report any health‑and‑safety concerns to the line manager promptly.

Required profile

• Willingness to follow company health‑and‑safety policies at all times.
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Enthusiastic, friendly attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
• No prior cleaning experience required; training will be provided.

Required skills

• Operating basic cleaning equipment such as vacuums and mops.
