Warehouse Manager – Greater Glasgow

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Warehouse Manager to lead three busy warehouses in the Greater Glasgow area. Reporting directly to the Company Directors, you will own day‑to‑day operations, transport coordination and health & safety compliance while driving performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of three warehouse facilities, ensuring accurate picking, packing and dispatch.
• Lead, motivate and develop a small team of Warehouse Operators.
• Oversee incoming container deliveries, unloading, and stock placement within racking systems.
• Arrange additional transport and logistics solutions for pallet deliveries as needed.
• Continuously review and reconfigure warehouse layouts to maximise efficiency.
• Recruit, train, mentor staff and conduct performance reviews.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and manage supplier relationships.
• Control operational costs and manage budgets.
• Ensure stock integrity, reconcile inventory after annual stock takes.
• Maintain full Health & Safety compliance and manage equipment maintenance, including forklifts, counter‑balance trucks and company vans.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Supervisor.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent stock control and inventory management experience.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, logistics and transport coordination.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
• Experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
